A proposal for a sprawling wind farm just north of the Everglades is facing blow-back from environmental groups that worry it could become an avian Cuisinart for the wading birds, raptors and waterfowl that teem in the sprawling marshes nearby.

Wasn't the whole reason for these projects because of the environment? So, should we just build a reactor down there? Maybe an oil well or two instead?
This one seems silly to me and a little too over-the-top.
That's my take, not yours.

You don't live in Texas. We have more of those wind generators than just about every other state combined, and the 'bird wackos' have been here since wind generator one. You would have thought it was a state-owned ICBM complex with associated nuclear power plant with all the lawsuits. And they increase every year with vindictive regularity.
